After three years of support activities for orphan children in Russia, the time has come now to move ahead and extend our activity to other countries.
That’s why President Paolo Ferraris and Anna Andreeva – who lives in Thailand and cooperates with GEOforCHILDREN – have recently visited two children houses in Pattaya, in Thailand.
In particular we have met the “Hand to Hand Foundation” – a non-profit organization where Anna does volunteer work – founded by Margaret Grainger and operating in the Pattaya area, which is one of the major city in Thailand.
The Foundation carries out many activities to help children, teenagers, young mothers, patients and poor people. The Foundation takes care of children coming from difficult situations, organizes activities and works for them during the day, provide them food, clothes and toys, and basic medical care.
The “Hand to Hand Foundation” activity, however, is not limited to helping children, but it also focuses on entire families living in poverty and social disadvantage. At the same time, the association works daily to improve the life conditions of ill people and children.
The Foundation deeply believes that humans rights apply to all people, regardless of their race, age or religion. And we couldn’t agree more.
This first meeting was the opportunity to start a relationship with the Hand to Hand Foundation, to know each other and to make a donation: Paolo and Anna have in fact donated some food.
“Hand to Hand Foundation” works with great commitment, and we are happy to be able to undertake a collaboration with them, to help them in their activities and to be able to export even in Thailand our program “A Door for Life”, which is giving great satisfaction and results in Russia.
The presence on the spot of Anna, who will be the contact person between the two associations, will also allow us to follow closely the activities carried out by the association and to collaborate directly on the projects.
We are very excited and can’t wait to start this new adventure!
