RIDE TO MOSCOW is crossing Europe and after the Czech Republic the team enter Poland.
Paolo, Alessandro and Arturo enter Poland during the sixth day, on Wednesday August 3. The first city they stop by in Poland is Dąbrowa Górnicza, reached after 160 km and around 6 hours on the road.
During the 6° stage, sponsored by PROJECT ENGINEERING, not only the team crossed the fourth “border”, after Slovenia, Austria and Czech Republic, but they also reached another important target: 1000 km done! “Only” 1600 km to the finish line J
The seventh stage is sponsored by AL.STE and takes place entirely in Poland, from Dąbrowa Górnicza to Kielce, after around 135 km and 4 hours. A very fast stage that made it possible for our athletes to have an entire afternoon to rest. Days like these are really welcomed in such a journey like RIDE TO MOSCOW, without one a single day off.
On the eighth day the team leaves Kielce and ride ahead towards Pulawy. This 8° stage is sponsored by CAMI and was characterized by high wind against and dangerous roads but it was also the occasion for other members of the team to join Paolo Alessandro and Arturo by bike and help them. After 140 km and almost five hours also the 8* stage is completed!
Saturday the 6th of August was the last day in Poland, with finish line in Terespol, just a couple of kilometres away from the Belarus border. It is very strategic position as it made it possible for the team to cross the border early morning on Sunday. Around 160 km at 28 km/h with a very bad weather: rain and against wind but this hasn’t been enough to stop the cyclists. After around 5 hours and a half also the ninth stage, sponsored by WELCOME AIR-TECH LTD, is completed!
Paolo, Alessandro and Arturo travelled almost 600 km in Poland during this solidarity journey.
Next country: Belarus!
