Last year we have taken our first steps in Thailand, by supporting the Hand to Hand Foundation in providing a music program for children that participate in the kids’ club that the foundation runs every Saturday.
This year we have continued to support this great initiative. By supporting one of the children’s charities in Thailand, we aim to give children a safe place to learn new things. Music stimulates all areas of child development and skills including language, literacy, motor, and socio-emotional. Moreover, by exposing them to music during the early stages of their development, we hope to not only help them develop, but to allow them to experience the joy that every child deserves.
We are supporting this program throughout the school year with donations of ฿24,000 (around 700 euros) every 3 months. Our donations will allow the music lessons for the children to be done in the slums where they live, making it easier for the children and adults to attend as there are no extra costs for their transport. They are learning to play the guitar, recorder, as well as to sing!
The Foundation is hosting a small music recital in November for the preschool children which will involve them singing and performing on the recorder, allowing them to demonstrate the musical skills they have learned. By mid-December, their goal is to hold a small concert for the older students.
The Hand To Hand Foundation is doing a lot for many kids and families, and we are very happy and proud to support this. To keep doing this, we need you. With your help, there is so much more that can be done to provide these children with what they need.
