This is the time of the year to say thank you and make new wishes.
First of all, we would like to say THANK YOU to everybody who have supported us. All this support gives us joy and pride, and the awareness that we are doing something good.
Our support for the inclusion of young people from two orphanages in Russia go on with the “A door for life” projects. In addition to “Steps” and “Home Alone”, which began last year, this year we started supporting also the new “Cooking Alone” project, through which boys and girls learn how to cook by themselves and at the same time to competently manage money and plan the budget for a month.
As anticipated at the end of 2017, this year we started a collaboration with the Hand to Hand Foundation in Thailand, to support children living in difficult conditions. So, we decided to support the organization of music lessons for children, which is an activity, just like the other activities organized by Hand to Hand, that represents an additional safe place for kids to learn something news, to play and stay together.
After RIDE TO MOSCOW and RIDE TO DOLOMITI, 2018 has been the year for RIDE TO ROMA, a 4-day and 770 km fundraising journey by bike from our headquarters to Rome. Thanks to YOUR help and of those who have supported us, RIDE TO ROMA has raised around 11.000 Euro, which will be fully paid to activities in favour of children.
This year we also have had the opportunity to host in Italy a young boy from one of the orphanage in Moscow, the young Aleksei, who is 16 years old and loves music. We decided to support his talent and, also thanks to your support, we have been able to donate him a new beautiful tuba, the instrument he is specializing in. Last November we welcomed Aleksei from Russia and organized an event for the donation, which was a moment of great joy and pride.
We end this 2018 with great satisfaction for the projects carried out and with great gratitude to all those who support us on this long journey. For this we thank you from the bottom of our heart.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”
From all of us, Merry Christmas and happy 2019!
